Speaker · Trainer · Storyteller — 25+ years in the Microsoft ecosystem
Alex de Jong has spent more than 25 years inside the Microsoft ecosystem — long enough to have taught the platform through several complete reinventions of it. Based in the Netherlands, he is a Microsoft Certified Trainer who spends most of the year on the road, delivering sessions for Microsoft itself, for the training partners who serve it, and for the enterprises trying to keep up with it.
He holds multiple expert-level certifications across Azure and Microsoft 365, and teaches to more than 45 Microsoft certification tracks — from AZ-900 to the Copilot, Purview and Defender specialisations. That range is not academic. It comes from years of hands-on consulting on complex Microsoft projects for mid-market and enterprise organisations, which is why his classrooms tend to fill up with the questions the documentation does not answer.
Today his work centres on the two subjects everyone is trying to get right at once: AI and security. Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Agent 365, Security Copilot, Purview, Defender, Intune — Alex teaches all of it, and has a rare talent for making the hard parts land with technical and business audiences in the same room.
You will find him on stage at Microsoft's own events and at conferences including NIC in Oslo, TechMentor at Microsoft HQ in Redmond, and Live! 360 in Orlando, and in classrooms from Amsterdam and Eindhoven to Oslo, Bergen, Zurich, Athens, London and Johannesburg. His YouTube channel reaches the people who cannot make it to the room.
The reason audiences keep asking him back is simple: Alex doesn't just present — he tells a story. Demos that actually work, delivered with the energy of someone who still finds this stuff genuinely interesting after 25 years.
Expect a day that is fast-paced, practical, and anything but boring.
